Student Accommodation

Living in student accommodation requires a valid right to study at a post-compulsory education institution.

When your studies end, your right of residence in the flat also ends. You can then terminate the tenancy agreement yourself in accordance with the standard notice period, or notify our office of the end of your studies. In this case, Taloherttua will terminate your tenancy agreement in accordance with the landlord’s standard notice period. You can also apply for a new rental flat through us if you wish.

Youth Accommodation

Applicants for youth accommodation must be under 30 years of age.

Living is possible under certain conditions until the person turns 35 years old.You can then terminate the tenancy agreement yourself in accordance with the standard notice period. Alternatively, Taloherttua will terminate your tenancy agreement in accordance with the landlord’s standard notice period. You can also apply for a new rental flat through us if you wish.

Resident selections adhere to criteria defined for state-subsidised housing. Factors influencing resident selection include the urgency of housing needs, the applicant’s income and assets, and the reason for needing accommodation.

  • Building Type: Apartment Block
  • Income: Provide an estimate of your monthly income during your studies. Student grants, housing benefits, and social assistance are not counted as income. Adult study grants and adult education support are counted as income.
  • Assets: Assets refer to owner-occupied flats, real estate, funds, securities, and forest ownership. Assets do not refer to income, savings in a bank account, or a car. Assets are taken into account when comparing applicants.
  • Attachments: Attach the necessary documents to your application. You can also submit attachments later, if you wish, after receiving a housing offer.
